Patient questions
The questions patients ask us most often about candidate pudendal nerve surgery — answered directly, without hedging.
A good candidate has symptoms in the pudendal nerve territory, a positional pattern, a supportive response to a diagnostic block, and no better explanation from previous investigations.
Widespread pain with no nerve-specific pattern, or pain fully explained by another condition, is usually better served by other treatment. Saying so honestly is part of the job.
Every candidate assessment at Pelvic Institute is done by the operating surgeon, not delegated.
Send your questions to our team and a coordinator replies within one business day, in strict confidence.
